Cauliflower Tulio F1
Brassica oleracea Botrytis
10 Seeds
A rare white ‘Romano’ type, known for their exceptional flavour and beautiful whorled heads. As a result of careful breeding, the plants are strong and vigorous with good crop reliability whatever the weather, thanks to their improved disease resistance. Guaranteed to add an additional wow factor to your cauliflower cheese dishes. A good source of vitamin C and folate.
Sow outdoors thinly in a seed bed, 1.5cm (½”) deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Water well until plants are established. Transplant 45cm (18”) apart when plants are about 10cm (4”) tall. Allow 60cm (2’) between rows. For mini heads grow in blocks with 30cm (1’) between plants. These can be sown in succession. Plant firmly and water well. Or sow indoors 0.5cm (¼”) deep, in a tray of compost. Water well and place in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse. Keep moist. Transplant 5cm (2”) apart to other trays when large enough to handle. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out.
