Vigorous plants producing fragrant, sweet, tasty fruits with orange flesh that can grow up to 700g (1.5lb).
Suitable for greenhouse or outside in a sheltered position.
Sow indoors February-April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly, 0.5cm (¼") deep, in a pot of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10-15cm (4-6") tall. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Plant out April-May, to large pots, growing bags, or into warm, well-drained soil in the greenhouse border. Harvest: August-October.
