Verbena Scentsation White Seeds
Mr. F VERBENA Scentsation White
Botanical Name: Verbena hybrida
50 seeds
Discovered on Mr Fothergill’s trial grounds this wonderfully free flowering verbena stood out from the crowd because of its remarkable fragrance. We saved the seed, put it into further trials and increased the stock so we could share it with our customers. Producing masses of blooms all summer long, this rather special scented verbena is ideal for patio pots and mixed containers, hanging baskets and bedding displays. A half hardy annual, it will flower the same year as sown.
Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow 0.5cm (¼”) deep in trays of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2”) apart to further trays when large enough to handle. (Always handle by a leaf, never by the stem.) Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 20cm (8”) apart, when frosts are over.
Genus: Annuals/Bedding
