A top quality F1 bush tomato which remains small and compact but still produces excellent yields of glossy sweet tasting cherry tomatoes. Ideal if you are short on space or want to make use of a patio area, they are the perfect variety for patio pots, where ripening fruit can be picked as an instant snack. Nothing tastes better than homegrown vegetables and juicy fresh tomatoes are right at the top of the list. Their trailing habit makes them a great choice for productive hanging baskets too.
These bushy (determinate) tomato plants are the easiest type to grow and maintain, with no pinching of side-shoots necessary and can simply be grown outdoors on a sunny sheltered patio.
A good source of vitamin C and antioxidants.
Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow 0.5cm (¼”) deep, thinly in a pot of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10-15cm (4-6”) tall. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out in patio tubs or baskets, when frosts are over.
Do not pinch out side shoots. Growing tips can be removed if trusses become too large or provide support.
