Red Cherry tomato seeds are a must-have in any vegetable garden or greenhouse. They produce large yields of small, vibrant red tomatoes that taste best when freshly picked. The early-cropping plants are indeterminate, meaning they will keep growing throughout the season, providing a continuous harvest of beautiful cherry tomatoes.
Technically a fruit, but also Britain's favourite summer vegetable, nothing beats the taste of home-grown tomato plants. These juicy, sweet cherry tomatoes can be used in a variety of dishes, from risottos to simple salads with olive oil and basil. They're also ideal for kids' lunchboxes or simply enjoyed straight from the vine.
Our red cherry tomato seeds are prolific and easy to grow, making them an excellent choice for both novice and experienced gardeners. They're suitable for greenhouses and can also be grown as outdoor crops after sowing indoors.
or greenhouse crops, sow indoors January-April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow thinly, 0.5cm (¼") deep, in a pot of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C (60-68°F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10-15cm (4-6") tall. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Plant out April to May to large pots, growing bags or greenhouse border. Harvest: June-October. For outdoor crops, delay indoor sowing until March or April. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out into warm, well-drained soil, 45cm (18") apart, when frosts are over. Harvest from August onwards.
